The Bulldog Mack is an expansion of the Bulldog living room concept and opened its doors in 1983. The Mack started serving alcohol and immediately became the neighbourhoods trusty watering hole, and serving the occasional meal to the less fortunate, with these early gestures of goodwill the slogan "the name with a heart" was founded. The bar is still very much a popular spot today, frequently visited by locals and tourist alike. During the summer months the patio next to the canal is always the hot spot.
